Wondering if I am the right fit?
  1. I have a Bachelors Degree in Health Science (Public Health) from La Trobe University - with a WAM of 82.46 and received two awards in my time there - the SCU/Lincoln Award for Excellence and the Penfold Public Health Research Prize for the highest average mark across three public health subjects. 
  2. I am passionate about my future career, with key interests being in tobacco cessation, cancer screening, social marketing, healthy eating and illicit drug prevention/management.
  3. Experience? I did a university organised placement at the Department of Health, as well as self organised volunteer placements with the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and The Pub Clinic - a men's health night which gained coverage on the Melbourne Channel Seven 6:00 News, as well as Sunrise. 
  4. I am a customer service superstar - having spent the last 10+ years in customer service roles - mainly supervisory or management. I am personable and cheerful and get along with all levels of management - meaning I am in high demand at my current place of employment - having been offered several full time positions however, I have turned these down with my Public Health career in mind. 
  5. I can sell - be it socks, jocks or health promoting messages.
  6. I have brilliant Facebook statuses that mostly take the form of popular culture puns.
  7. I have crazy amounts of energy and I bring this to any task I do - you won't see things completed to a higher degree of professionalism or quality anywhere.
  8. I have mad public speaking skills, and am not too proud to dress up in a costume that reflects my topic.
  9. I can work anywhere between the Melbourne CBD, Ballarat, Sunbury and (maybe) Geelong.
